The Stir The Pot Story
As with a lot of good stories, ours starts with Willie Nelson. After a chance encounter backstage at a show outside Seattle in 2012, our founders connected and found common interests in music, cannabis, and culture. Kevin had recently joined the Family Band, and Eric had just begun developing a new product line for Jones Soda following the legalization of marijuana in Washington.
With each tour stop since, Kevin and Eric got together to shoot the shit, each conversation leaning further into the idea of partnering to create a cannabis product for the musicians, creatives, independents and free thinkers out there -- people just like us.
And that's how Stir The Pot was born. Inspired by artists, outsiders, and independent thinkers who prefer to do things their own way, our indulgent coffee syrups are made for moments when slowing down, loosening up, and finding your groove is the whole point. Whether you're creating, relaxing, or just enjoying the ride, Stir The Pot is meant to be right there with you. We hope you enjoy our products as much as we do, and we thank you for your support.
We make bold, unapologetic syrups for those moments when an ordinary cup of joe just won't cut it.
Meet The Artist
In the world of Austin artist Brian Phillips, dumpsters contain treasure, and gold can be struck in a scrap pile by the side of the road. The reclaimed wood that forms the foundation of his work is often rife with blemishes, knots, and nail holes. Working in a shed (originally built 40 years ago from salvaged materials) that Brian then converted into a studio/workshop, Brian cuts, planes, paints, and reassembles these rejected pieces into something wholly new. Many styles for his many moods. A resident of Austin, Texas, Brian's work embraces the beauty and resilience of his home state. His work is ultimately a celebration of life and everything that makes it worth living.
Stir The Pot is honored to be working with Brian. As an internationally recognized artist with an independent spirit who shares our values and our appreciation for creative pursuits, we can't think of a better ambassador to represent us through our packaging. We will continue to feature Brian's work as we introduce new products, and we encourage you to check out his stuff at www.artbybrianphillips.com
